FAQ
-
Do you accept insurance?
No, I currently don’t accept insurance, and here’s why. Choosing to work outside of insurance allows us to focus fully on what matters most — your needs, not your diagnosis.
Here’s why private pay can be a better fit:
* No required mental health diagnosis to begin treatment
* No session limits or restrictions on the type of support you receive.
* Full privacy—your personal information stays between us, not your insurance company.
* You set the pace and goals of therapy, not a third-party.
* I can provide superbills (receipts for services) upon request, which you may submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement

What if I'm not a believer?
That’s perfectly fine! I truly mean it when I say I specialize in people. Regardless of your beliefs, you are more than welcome here if you believe I am a good fit for you.
-
How will I know if you're the right therapist for me?
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. I offer a free 15-minute consultation that allows us to connect, discuss your needs, and determine if we’re a good fit before beginning our work together. I am also very transparent, so feel free to ask any questions that may help you get to know me better!
-
What's your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to the full session fee.
-
How often will we meet and how long?
I highly recommend weekly sessions for the first four sessions to build momentum and rapport; however, the frequency of sessions depends on your needs, goals, and schedule.
Each session for individual therapy is 50 minutes long, with the exception of our initial intake session which is 60 minutes.
-
Do you offer in-person services?
Yes, I am currently in the office on Mondays. I am also available virtually on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 8 AM to 6 PM (latest session time being 5 PM).
-
How much do sessions cost?
My standard session rate is $120 per 50-minute session. I also offer a sliding scale with two reduced-rate options:
• Tier 1 – $110
• Tier 2 – $90 (for those with significant financial need)A limited number of reduced-fee spots are available at any given time. During your consultation, we’ll discuss whether a sliding scale option is the right fit for your current circumstances.
-
How do I know if I qualify for a reduced rate?
I use an honor-based system to determine eligibility. If you're navigating financial hardship—such as limited income, recent job changes, caregiving responsibilities, or systemic barriers to care—please feel free to mention this during your consultation.
My goal is to ensure that therapy remains accessible while maintaining a sustainable practice model, so I ask that reduced-rate spots be reserved for those who truly need them.
