Meet Ayana Boyd - Faith-based therapist for High-Functioning Christian Women in Nashville, TN.

You are valued. You are enough. You are YOU!

Hi! I’m Ayana, A-LPC/MHSP!

I’m a faith-based therapist specializing in high-achieving Christian women who are ready to stop surviving and start living aligned with their Christ-given identity.

I know what it feels like to carry responsibility well and still feel internally misaligned. To love God deeply and still wrestle with anxiety. To serve faithfully and quietly wonder why you’re so tired.

My work lives at the intersection of clinical expertise and biblical truth.

I use evidence-based approaches such as cognitive restructuring, nervous system regulation, and identity work while integrating scripture when appropriate and desired. I believe renewal of the mind is both a spiritual invitation and a psychological process.

What It’s Like to Work With Me:

I primarily work with high-functioning women who appear to be doing fine on the outside but feel disconnected on the inside. Many of my clients are helpers, caregivers, or leaders who are used to prioritizing others and carrying responsibility with little space for themselves.

In our work together, we focus on:

  • Identity and self-worth beyond productivity

  • Values-based decision making

  • Boundaries, rest, and emotional regulation

  • Creating sustainable change without self-abandonment

My style is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded. I value authenticity, honesty, and creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

I approach therapy with warmth, intention, and a little humor (because life gets heavy, and we have to laugh through some things, right?!). I believe healing doesn’t require hustle, and growth doesn’t have to come at the expense of your well-being. For clients who desire it, I integrate Christian faith in a way that honors both emotional and spiritual wholeness. I currently offer limited midday availability on Mondays and Tuesdays.

HERE’S HOW I APPROACH THIS WORK:

  • I don’t just teach self-development — I live it. I practice what I preach and remind you that growth isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Whether it’s showing how I hold myself accountable or admitting when I’m struggling too, my honesty has been proven to create a safe and relatable space.

  • I’m not a therapist who just assigns homework and checks in on it later — i actively do the work alongside you. If you need to sit with your emotions, I’m going to sit with mine too. If you’re struggling with setting boundaries, I’ll reflect on my own. If you need to implement more self-care, I’m going to implement more in my routine as well. Sessions with me are collaborative and deeply impactful.

  • A lot of people feel guilty for choosing themselves, but I normalize self-development as a lifestyle, not a luxury. I’ll help you shift from “I have to do everything for everyone” to “I am worthy of taking up space in my own life — that shift is life-changing.

  • You may feel like you’re the only one who can hold everything together, but I’m here to help you recognize and lean on the support that already exists around you. I show you that you don’t have to carry it all alone, which is incredibly freeing.

  • I will make sure that you see your progress, no matter how small. Growth isn’t linear, yet I will celebrate you wholeheartedly when you take steps toward honoring yourself. Therapy with me isn’t just a place for healing, but also a place for recognition and self-empowerment.
